Install

Open extensions

Go to chrome://extensions or edge://extensions and enable Developer mode.

Load the extension

Click Load unpacked and select the extension/ folder from this project.

Preview & tune

Open the preview tab from the popup, allow camera access, and dial in pixel size / algorithm.

Join Teams on the web

Open teams.microsoft.com, reload the tab, join a call, and turn your camera on.

Chrome and Edge 111+ with Microsoft Teams on the web (teams.microsoft.com, teams.cloud.microsoft). The native desktop app is not supported — it has no getUserMedia hook for extensions.
No. Dithering runs locally via WebGL inside the browser. The extension does not upload camera frames to any server.
No. Deter Cam intercepts the camera request inside Teams and returns a processed stream. No system drivers required.
Reload the Teams tab after installing. Confirm the master toggle is on. Toggle the camera off/on in the call. Check the console for [Deter] getUserMedia hook installed.
