The product
Deter Cam is a browser extension that applies visual dither effects to your webcam stream inside supported Microsoft Teams web clients. Features may change as we ship updates.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Deter Cam for lawful purposes on devices you control. You may not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the extension as your own product without written permission, except where applicable open-source licenses say otherwise for specific files.
Acceptable use
- Do not use Deter Cam to violate Microsoft Teams, employer, school, or local laws and policies.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, privacy, or recording controls of any platform.
- You are responsible for how your modified camera feed appears to others on a call.
Third-party services
Teams, Chrome, and Edge are third-party products. Their terms apply separately. We are not affiliated with Microsoft, Google, or Microsoft Edge. Compatibility with those products may break when they change.
No warranty
Deter Cam is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Use it at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, reputation, or business arising from your use of Deter Cam.
Updates & termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue the extension or these terms at any time. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. You may stop using Deter Cam at any time by removing the extension.
